[15:59:50] <aclark> !logs
[15:59:50] <pmxbot> http://chat-logs.dcpython.org
[16:00:55] <J1m> Thanks.
[16:03:06] <J1m> baijum, to answer your question, the dns issue doesn't seem to be resolved.
[16:15:49] <truemped> J1m: sorry, I just entered, but are you talking about the buildout.org dns issue?
[16:16:20] <J1m> yes, for some definition of talking :)
[16:16:59] <truemped> speaking of: is there any way to get around this? It really is a "pain in the ***" for me at the moment. Or am I doing something wrong with buildout?
[16:17:02] <truemped> :)
[16:17:22] <J1m> How is it a pain?
[16:17:48] <truemped> From time to time, when I run bin/buildout it takes forever
[16:17:59] <J1m> Have you tried it lately?
[16:18:01] <truemped> then failing with dns resolution problem
[16:18:22] <aclark> J1m: buildout bootstrap outputs of host unavail messages (regardless of whether or not it completes successfully)
[16:18:32] <aclark> J1m: so i think allow-hosts gets around it, but it's still noisy
[16:18:47] <aclark> truemped: yeah try 1.6.3 should be faster
[16:19:21] <J1m> I removed buildout.org from the meta-data of the releases that mentioned it.
[16:19:35] <J1m> The simple index no longer has links to buildout.org.
[16:19:56] <J1m> If you're still trying to access it, I suspect you're using an out-of-date index.
[16:20:29] <truemped> aclark: yes, updated to 1.6.3 today
[16:20:59] <truemped> J1m: should I remove stuff from the ~/.buildout/eggs?
[16:21:06] <J1m> no
[16:21:37] <J1m> nothing should be trying to access buildout.org at this point afaik, unless maybe you're using an index that's not up to date.
[16:22:41] <J1m> buildouts run find for me.
[16:22:50] <J1m> s/find/fine
[16:23:51] <J1m> I fixed the mata data at 15:35 UTC
[16:24:00] <J1m> s/mata/meta
[16:25:30] <truemped> ah, thanks! it does work now for me as well.
[16:25:49] <truemped> was a strange day though, I also had problems downloading from github. Works now as well
[16:26:05] <J1m> Seriously, try before you engage.
[16:34:14] <truemped> J1m: sorry, was offline for two hours and had problems the whole day. When first tried to ask, no one was there
