[20:39:21] <richleland> yo aclark can you change the meetup link to https://github.com/cgoldberg/multi-mechanize
[20:39:45] <richleland> we're rolling on some great mods to multi-mech, and it's on the githubs now
[20:46:49] <MattBowen> richleland: you're gonna talk about performance testing?
[20:47:05] <richleland> specifically how multi-mech handles it
[20:47:06] <richleland> but yeah
[20:47:13] <MattBowen> that is rad
[20:47:28] <richleland> yeah I used multi-mech to fine tune the shit out of http://www.treehugger.com/
[20:47:59] <richleland> what's cool is you can perf test anything with a python API
[20:48:14] <richleland> can be pages on a site, or memcached, or whatever
[20:48:17] <MattBowen> that should great
[20:48:27] <richleland> yeah I'll try to have a few examples worked out for everyone
[20:48:34] <MattBowen> I'll see if I can convince some other people at U.S. News that they should attend
[20:50:31] <richleland> yeah more the merrier!
[21:22:06] <aclark> richleland: changed-i-fied
[21:22:15] <richleland> aclark word thanks
[21:22:26] <aclark> richleland: i'm still not sure if i'm coming or not, but i might be. if not are you OK w/running meeting?
[21:22:32] <richleland> MattBowen what kind of information would be helpful to you to cover
[21:22:36] <richleland> what are you looking to learn?
[21:22:59] <richleland> yeah man no prob - just shoot me any info you want me to talk about if there's more than the standard stuff
[21:23:10] <aclark> k
[21:24:08] <aclark> it's mostly just RFA's phone # and email addy i need to get you… thanks
[21:24:40] <MattBowen> richleland: For me, it'd going to be be pretty basic -- like, I'd love to see a problem-based kind of approach, where you say "Ok, so I have an app and I know the basic usage patterns, here's how I"m going to stress it, here's how I'm going to make use of the results, here's how I'm going to see if I've improved things"
[21:25:03] <richleland> cool good idea
[21:25:43] <MattBowen> And then the other side would be "I know I'm going to need to support X peak concurrent users on my app -- how do I verify I can actually do that?"
