[01:08:51] <San1ty> Hi guys, Im having an issue with my application that uses mongodb that it sometimes errors out on a duplicate objectID:
[01:09:27] <San1ty> (ERROR) MongoError: E11000 duplicate key error index: db.collection.$_id_ dup key: { : ObjectId('537bdc19246267761866aed3') }
[01:09:59] <San1ty> does anyone have an idea how that can happen? It happens very sporadically I insert and renove every couple of minutes in that collection
[02:13:02] <algorian_> hello there
[02:13:34] <algorian_> anybody seeing this?
[02:15:39] <algorian_> I want to add some functionality to mongodb java driver
[02:15:50] <algorian_> is anybody there to help?
[12:31:49] <San1ty> anyone here?
[13:17:25] <tessierashpool> Migrating chunks from the primary shard (shard000) to the other shard I added (shard001) takes too long (about 37 mins)?
[13:17:43] <tessierashpool> I have 150M documents each about 1.5Kb in size
[13:18:04] <tessierashpool> I have ~11k chunks reported in sh.status()
[13:18:30] <tessierashpool> one mongos, one config server and one primary (mongod) and other (mongod)
[13:18:50] <tessierashpool> all in the same server which has 8 cores and 32 GB ram
[13:19:32] <tessierashpool> I know the ideal is to use seperate machines but none of the CPUs were utilized so I thought it was good for a start
[13:24:04] <sKreeMy> Hello, can someone tell me why my query is not returning anything? See http://pastebin.com/99AyJQn8
[13:24:31] <sKreeMy> I'm trying to return a message from the messages array with the particular - second query
[13:24:35] <sKreeMy> First query works ok
[13:33:58] <sKreeMy> The whole document is returned after I modified the query, but I only want one array item from messages: see http://pastebin.com/aNCECN2P
[13:36:50] <tessierashpool> I don't really know but why do you use $ sign?
[13:43:39] <tessierashpool> I don't want to flood the channel but maybe the newcomers can answer?
[13:43:50] <tessierashpool> I just asked 30 minutes ago

[16:17:31] <abstrakt> so when I tried to run mongo, I got "connection refused"
[16:17:43] <abstrakt> weird cuz it seemed that the service started just fine
[16:17:57] <abstrakt> https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/MongoDB
[17:56:20] <tessierashpool> is anybody here?
[17:56:41] <tessierashpool> I am trying to ask a question for several hours
[17:56:45] <tessierashpool> :)
[18:12:40] <jimpop> tessierashpool: perhaps you should try the mailinglist
[20:10:08] <tessierashpool> So anyone care to look at this question of mine: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/23859381/migrating-chunks-from-primary-shard-to-the-other-single-shard-takes-too-long
