(Back to #mongodb overview) (Back to channel listing) (Animate logs)
[00:06:34] <koniu> ngo
[00:06:37] <koniu> oops
[00:08:19] <koniu> i'm running benchmarks of different setup for mongo
[00:08:35] <koniu> amongst other things comparing xfs vs ext4 performance
[00:08:49] <koniu> weirdly enough im seeing ext4 trump xfs
[00:09:08] <koniu> whether on single hdd, 6 drive raid10 or nvm ssd
[00:10:21] <koniu> here's a glimpse of the results https://i.imgur.com/WnuMD4a.png
[00:10:47] <koniu> any clues?
[00:11:37] <koniu> also minor slowdown when ran through docker despite using simple bind mounts - interesting if anyone has experience
[00:12:13] <koniu> and shockingly small difference between single hdd vs nvme ssd
[00:13:28] <koniu> the test cycle is restore (16gb dump), find-count, dump to another nvme, dump to /dev/null
[00:14:04] <koniu> sorry, missone one out - restore (16gb dump), find-count, write a field to all documents, dump to another nvme, dump to /dev/null
[09:44:56] <^andrea^> hi, I'm still around if anyone has any clue on the following "does anyone know whether you can backup/restore mongodb referring to it by an SRV record?"
