[18:26:46] <skg> Can anyone help me diagnose why my installation of mongo is faceplanting as soon as I try to do something with localhost? I've got it set up in a FreeBSD 12.1 jail and i've installed mongo 4.2 from pkg. I get an error about being unable to connect to localhost (which is odd) whenever I try to do anything inside the database. For example, just trying to enable the free monitoring makes it crash and then i have to restart the service

[22:49:50] <d4rkp1r4t3> skg: was thinking maybe hitting system limits then saw this in the logs: ** WARNING: soft rlimits too low. rlimits set to 19486 processes, 468288 files. Number of processes should be at least 234144 : 0.5 times number of files. set both hard and soft limits for the mongod user and use these recommendations: https://docs.mongodb.com/manual/reference/ulimit/#recommended-ulimit-settings
