[14:38:00] <nlh> It's really refreshing to hear other people talk about how hard CSS is...
[14:38:13] <nlh> or at least, how hard it can become once you start to scale..
[14:38:51] <nlh> I know PyPI isn't huge, but I do want to make sure that we can make it work with other people contributing HTML/CSS
[14:39:21] <nlh> and that it all meets a certain standard and everything is in its right place
[14:40:00] <nlh> well, maybe *everything* is a bit ambitious ;)
[14:45:37] <dstufft> nlh: I would love for PyPI to be well managed in the HTML/CSS stuff too :)
[14:46:25] <nlh> I think it is doable... but I think it's probably going to require some post-launch work to integrate any of these systems...
[14:46:51] <nlh> realistically, I'm not going to have time to get all the new features in AND introduce a CSS methodology...
[14:47:35] <dstufft> nlh: I think I mentioned it at the beginning, but just to reiterate, I'd love for your level of involvement (particularly ongoing involvement) to be as indepth as you feel comfortable. I am very much not comfortable with the front-end/design/UX side of things so if you want to stay involved past the initial getting it done as the benevolent dictator of the design/ux/HTML/CSS I would love that and I'm more than happy to make all HTML/CSS/UX
[14:47:35] <dstufft> stuff require your stamp of approval
[14:48:07] <dstufft> nlh: sure! a great benefit of a web application is that you can always deploy a new version :)
[14:48:53] <nlh> dstufft: well, let's see how it goes. I certainly want to get it up to a certain standard before really opening it up. Also, if we do get other designers and front end developers involved, it's going to be so much easier if we have a consistent, sane front end
[14:51:18] <dstufft> nlh: not gonna lie, I'm annoyed anytime I'm working on Warehouse because my half ass (not really even half ass) design makes me so mad now that I know what the real thing is going to look like
