[11:51:11] <andymaier_> Question: Does pip support the new pypi warehouse site at https://pypi.io ?
[11:58:28] <ronny> andymaier_: i recall it should as the api shouldbe compat, please try with it asa index
[12:27:08] <dstufft> andymaier_: the API endpoint for XMLRPC is https://pypi.io/pypi
[12:27:41] <andymaier_> This command
[12:27:42] <andymaier_> pip search --index https://pypi.io/pypi GitPython
[12:27:45] <andymaier_> results in
[12:28:00] <andymaier_> File "/home/maiera/virtualenvs/pywbem27/local/lib/python2.7/site-packages/pip/commands/search.py", line 75, in transform_hits
[12:28:01] <andymaier_> score = hit['_pypi_ordering']
[12:28:01] <andymaier_> KeyError: '_pypi_ordering'
[12:28:13] <andymaier_> is that a bug, then I can open an issue
[12:28:14] <andymaier_> ?
[12:28:32] <andymaier_> pip 8.1.2 on python 2.7.6
[12:29:01] <andymaier_> oh, xml-rpc. let me try that as well
[12:29:04] <dstufft> andymaier_: yea, that would be a Warehouse bug, apparently the search API is missing a key
[12:34:15] <andymaier_> Using XML-RPC against this endpoint works. I'll update and close issue #3768, and open a new issue for the command line variant that did not work
[12:35:01] <andymaier_> Is there a way to set the index URL when using pip as a module?
[21:05:25] <ronny> dstufft: how does pypi upload currently work?
[21:05:33] <dstufft> ronny: badly
[21:05:35] <ronny> (i get timeouts from nginx)
[21:06:01] <ronny> dstufft: i jsut finalized a new pytest release i#d like to upload :(
[21:06:27] <ronny> dstufft: is there any way to do that?
[21:06:49] <dstufft> ronny: I'm working on it. You might be able to upload to upload.pypi.io/legacy/ though
[21:07:09] <ronny> dstufft: know off-hand what to add to twine call?
[21:08:18] <dstufft> ronny: https://bpaste.net/show/bfbfd3cb5cf4 then twine upload -r warehouse
[21:08:21] <dstufft> in a ~/.pypirc
[21:09:22] <ronny> dstufft: that one is hanging as well :/
[21:09:28] <ronny> also is that info out anywhere
[21:09:37] <ronny> i suspect people are allmost suicidal over that
[21:09:38] <dstufft> I thought it might be :/ the DB is unhappy I think
[21:11:20] <ronny> dstufft: whos the burning world contact?
[21:13:02] <dstufft> "burning world contact"
[21:13:53] <ronny> dstufft: my overly dramatic description of "a service i need `now` aint workin" want a good wine with that?
[21:17:02] <ronny> dstufft: is there any way to do something about it?
