(Back to #pypa-dev overview) (Back to channel listing) (Animate logs)
[19:20:30] <tos9> I'm about to step through a debugger, but I don't suppose that twine upload just dying and printing `TypeError: must be convertible to a buffer, not None` means anything to anyone?
[19:20:34] <tos9> No traceback, nothing.
[19:22:11] <tos9> ok, that was reasonably easy to fine
[19:22:13] <tos9> *find
[19:22:21] <tos9> PackageFile.from_filename(filename, comment) is getting a comment of None
[19:22:26] <tos9> No idea whose fault that is
[19:23:27] <tos9> bit unclear what a comment even is
[19:23:43] <tos9> let's see what happens if I send random junk, that always works...
[19:25:29] <tos9> a ha.. it's not comment that's none, it's metadata.name that's none
[19:25:34] <tos9> that's more interesting
[19:28:20] <tos9> maybe twine doesn't support setuptools 2.1 yet...
[19:30:00] <tos9> yup looks like that's it
[19:30:05] <tos9> or at least the newest release doesn't.
[19:59:43] <sumanah> techalchemy: hey I have a reminder to myself to ask you about PyCon North America plans.
[19:59:59] <techalchemy> omg thank you
[20:00:03] <techalchemy> let me get that sorted
[20:00:24] <sumanah> sigmavirus24: FYI I've been offline a bunch for the past few days as I have a cold and am taking care of some family medical stuff, but will probably be back and catching up on stuff on Thursday.
[20:01:09] <sumanah> pradyunsg: you online?
[20:01:40] <pradyunsg> Yeps -- sorta.
[20:01:48] <sumanah> pradyunsg: may I PM?
[20:01:59] <pradyunsg> Anytime. :)
[20:13:37] <di_codes> tos9: left a comment on your issue, are you sure you’re using the latest version of twine and pkginfo?
[21:15:12] <sumanah> techalchemy: so are you comin' to the sprints?
[21:15:40] <sumanah> I am looking to add to https://wiki.python.org/psf/PackagingSprints as you can tell
[21:15:59] <techalchemy> I need to get the dates sorted out
[21:16:20] <techalchemy> putting a sticky note so I can talk to my boss, but doing a production deployment so he's busy :p
[21:31:34] <tos9> di_codes: I'm not! (It's one we pin to)
[21:31:44] <tos9> di_codes: I left it even after I found that upgrading fixed it
[21:31:55] <tos9> (Because I think it'd be nice to not need a debugger to figure out what was up :P)
[21:43:50] <tos9> di_codes: Thanks for responding by the way!
[21:53:00] <lghampton> sumanah: Hi!
[21:53:06] <sumanah> hi lghampton
[21:53:18] <lghampton> sumanah: how are you feeling? I saw you had a cold
[21:53:25] <sumanah> yup, I do
[21:53:35] <lghampton> sumanah: I'm sorry, I hope you feel better
[21:53:39] <sumanah> on my way to recovering
[21:53:42] <sumanah> thanks lghampton - how are you?
[21:53:55] <lghampton> sumanah: oh good. I'm ok, I had the cold last week though
[21:54:00] <sumanah> :(
[21:54:28] <lghampton> sumanah: thank you. :)
[21:56:19] <lghampton> sumanah: will you be around tomorrow afternoon, so I can send you a draft of the weekly report email to you for your review?
[21:56:35] <sumanah> lghampton: not necessarily, no. Dustin or Ernest would be better to review that
[21:57:13] <lghampton> sumanah: ok, thank you
[21:57:26] <lghampton> sumanah: hope everything is going ok with your family
[21:57:46] <sumanah> thanks, it's ok
[21:58:57] <lghampton> sumanah: Just to confirm, who should receive the weekly status email? I know you send it to packaging-wg, is there anyone else who gets it?
[22:01:03] <sumanah> yes lghampton I will pm you about it
[22:01:10] <lghampton> sumanah: ok
