I am considering contributing some time and effort to improving and maintaining some of the Python projects managed by the pypa group (ie: pip, setuptools, virtualenv, etc.). Is there a quick-start guide for new / prospective contributors that I should read before diving in?

[17:16:45] <leedega> I've read the Contributors Code of Conduct on pypa.io, but I am more curious to see if there are more technical details I need to be familiar with like coding standards, steps to create my first MR, etc. that may be needed.
