[18:26:21] <sumanah> EWDurbin: I thought the 2FA rollout might warrant a https://status.python.org post - maybe it doesn't? maybe I misunderstood. Maybe https://status.python.org should only be for announcements of stuff that might break things, and never pure announcements of new features?
[18:26:56] <EWDurbin> it doesn't impact any user without their opt in (by enabling 2FA)... so i'd say no
[18:28:52] <sumanah> Cool, thanks EWDurbin!
[18:38:46] <sumanah> njs: hey is tomorrow afternoon ET/morning PT an ok time to talk about manylinux?
[19:00:11] <sumanah> pradyunsg: how's it going?
[19:00:33] <pradyunsg> Pretty well! :)
[19:00:40] <pradyunsg> Last 2 days in NYC.
[19:01:03] <sumanah> pradyunsg: oh you leave this coming weekend?
[19:01:26] <sumanah> I thought you would be here longer
[19:01:26] <pradyunsg> Yep! Sat evening.
[19:01:55] <sumanah> pradyunsg: there was an email where you told me you'd be here till June 7th - I was planning on seeing you more next week now that I'm back
[19:03:01] <pradyunsg> Yea, this had to change last minute due to visa restrictions.
[19:03:28] <sumanah> :( got it
[19:04:04] <pradyunsg> In hindsight, I should've been more proactive in letting people know that this happened.
[19:04:13] <sumanah> pradyunsg: yes, you should have. please do that next time
[19:05:56] <sumanah> pradyunsg: I'm pretty busy the next few days but do you want to come to a public hearing tonight? The New York City Automated Decision Systems Task Force has a public hearing
[19:06:00] <sumanah> https://www1.nyc.gov/site/adstaskforce/events/events.page
[19:13:23] <sumanah> https://docs.docker.com/install/ says "Docker CE has three types of update channels, stable, test, and nightly". https://download.docker.com/linux/debian/dists/buster/ mentions edge, nightly, pool, stable, and test. I'm gonna guess I want "stable" for Warehouse. Is that right EWDurbin?
[19:14:07] <pradyunsg> sumanah: Yes on both fronts.
[19:15:27] <sumanah> pradyunsg: cool. meet you at the law school at 5:45pm.
[19:17:25] <sumanah> ok, now I just have to work out whether this Linux laptop is amd64, arm64, or armhf (ppc64 is almost certainly wrong)
[19:27:48] <sumanah> ("All current general-public 64-bit desktops and servers have an amd64 processor" thank you https://askubuntu.com/questions/3378/my-processor-is-64-bit-does-that-mean-i-need-the-amd64-image -- that's what I assumed but WHO KNOWS, things change)
[19:31:57] <EWDurbin> yes, stable is best to suggest for users
[20:16:03] <sumanah> Great, thanks EWDurbin
[20:24:51] <sumanah> jeez https://download.docker.com/linux/debian/dists/buster/stable/binary-amd64/ I feel like I took a wrong turn at some point, because none of these seem big enough to be the binary for Docker CE
[20:56:02] <sumanah> https://docs.docker.com/install/linux/docker-ce/debian/ "browse to pool/stable/" EWDurbin heads-up, I should have gone into "pool"
