[20:42:29] <graingert> pradyunsg: can you do a tweet or IRC mention ~9 hours before the 20.3 release? I'm looking to get some time to update all my things to the new resolver
[20:52:59] <graingert> pradyunsg: or will there be a prerelease?
[20:53:17] <graingert> I want to remove the `--use-feature` flags
[23:03:11] <pradyunsg> graingert: pip 20.3 won't remove the `--use-feature=2020-resolver` stuff -- it'd make it a no-op that prints a tiny warning to stop using it. :)
[23:04:02] <graingert> Oh sure, but I've got niggly corners where I can't set environment variables or pip flags
[23:04:15] <graingert> Mainly due to politics
[23:06:37] <graingert> It's somewhat convoluted - I could do it with a .pth file but that seems worse than upgrading to a pip prerelease
[23:07:33] <pradyunsg> hah
[23:08:46] <graingert> pradyunsg: have you seen pthogen ?
[23:14:11] <pradyunsg> nop
[23:14:34] <pradyunsg> https://pypi.org/project/pthogen/ oooooo
