[11:26:44] <pradyunsg> dstufft: It's tricky to judge. We'd be moving the "easy" cases to be 2 HTTP requests for every package vs 1 right now. But the moment you have any conflicts, that separate metadata file will save quite a lotta bandwidth and time.
